Flamed

The flamed finish is achieved by subjecting the stone to a high temperature flame of a torch in order to burn most of the carbon content off to leave textured quartzites with gentle coloration. Only pieces of granites are hard enough to take a flame finish. Thin material may crack or break under the heat and pressure. Popular applications for this finish include commercial wall and flooring applications.
